Job Title: Staff Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Nurse to join our team at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, ME.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position in the Operating Room department, working 40 hours per week with a schedule of 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience in the Operating Room and be a registered nurse with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide safe and effective patient care by using best practices during hand-off communication and when reporting patient care information.
  • Perform and document systematic assessments according to established criteria.
  • Recognize and respond to abnormal diagnostic data and report to appropriate providers.
  • Develop and maintain a professional and personable relationship with patients, families, and staff.
  • Utilize theoretical knowledge base to operationalize care.
  • Document accurately and completely, reflecting adherence to hospital, regulatory, and legal requirements.
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • 2 years of Operating Room experience
  • High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED)
Working Conditions:

This position requires lifting, moving, and loading 30 to 50 pounds. Alternate shift schedules, including day, evening, nights, and weekends, may be required.
