Job Summary

At Friend Health, we are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our medical staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, including admission and discharge assessments, medication administration, and charting nursing notes.


Key Responsibilities
  • Perform admission and discharge nursing assessments on assigned patients, including timely charting.
  • Conduct and record health assessment screenings on all admissions assigned.
  • Receive, review, record, and execute physician's orders.
  • Administer medication accurately, observing patient response and documenting in the medical record.
  • Assist patients with empathy and respect their confidentiality and privacy.
  • Maintain inventory, including medications for the unit, and administrative and clinical records.
  • Participate in staff development training and attend required in-service programs.

Qualifications
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing and state LPN licensure.
  • 2-3 years of experience working with a substance abuse population.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Knowledge of quality improvement processes and accreditation processes.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort
The work environment involves exposure to potentially dangerous situations that require following extensive safety precautions. The physical work is a primary part of the job, requiring heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects up to 50 pounds.
