Welder Specialist

Job Description

At Sea Level Construction, we are seeking a skilled Welder Specialist to join our team. As a Welder Specialist, you will be responsible for promoting and executing the company's safety program, setting and operating welding machines, and performing welding processes for structural, pipe, and automatic welding projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate welding machines for various welding processes, including stick, short arc, flux core, TIG, fill and cap, and automatic welding.
• Perform welding processes for structural, pipe, and automatic welding projects, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
• Pass required welding tests in accordance with AWS D1.1 latest edition.
• Maintain quality of welding that can pass NDT testing procedures.
• Operate hand tools, such as chipping hammers and grinders, and high reaches or man lifts when necessary.
• Follow instructions and work with minimal supervision.
• Examine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with straight edges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.

Requirements:

• At least two years of experience in welding, preferably with experience in reading prints.
• Ability to pass 6GR welding certification, with existing certification being a plus.
