About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation & Controls Specialist to join our team at the Tonganoxie Manufacturing facility. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the on-shift support and maintenance of electrical, controls, and plant floor systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and solve Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) including Allen Bradley ControlLogix and GuardLogix, Wonderware based Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) or Panelview.
  • Maintain and fix plant floor electrical, control, and pneumatics components including vision systems, industrial and collaborative robots, valves, motors, loop controllers, solenoids, control system I/O, measurement and instrumentation systems.
  • Function as a technical resource and shift solving resource for operations, maintenance, and engineering.
  • Conduct training for controls and electrical related systems for maintenance and operations personnel.
  • Provide extensive reporting and communication of problems and steps taken.
  • Perform basic network diagnostics and follow backup procedures.
  • Document changes made to software and hardware.
  • Be accountable for meeting or exceeding safety standards.
  • Support, fix, and perform improvement configurations to the AGV and AMR fleet.
  • Power up electrical systems and configure hardware per application specifications.
  • Complete continuous improvement related projects as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of plant technical experience or 2-year technical degree in a related field.
  • Appetite for learning.
  • Ability to access input and retrieve information from a computer.
  • Ability to read and use electrical schematics.
  • Knowledge of electrical circuits and PLC programming.
  • Ability to work on different shifts and weekends as needed.
