Perinatal Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Perinatal Care Specialist to join our team at South Shore Health. This is a part-time position that requires strong clinical expertise and excellent interpersonal skills.
About the RoleThis role involves providing perinatal care to patients, including physical assessment, patient education, evaluation, and management of problems in accordance with approved nurse midwifery guidelines. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, and contributing to the development of our obstetrical program.
Responsibilities- Assume management responsibility for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of a plan of care for obstetrical and gynecological patients.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team in planning and implementing care for obstetrical and gynecological patients.
- Evaluate individual health care status of patients, formulate a management plan, and revise the plan as indicated.
- Participate in ongoing review of nurse midwifery prescriptive practice.
- Develop annual objectives and review these with the Medical Director of the Laborist and Midwifery Program at time of performance review and at appropriate intervals.
To be considered for this role, you will need to have:
- A graduate degree in Midwifery from an approved program.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of previous nurse midwifery experience.
- Current certification as a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM).
We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $150,000 per year, based on experience. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
