Cash Application Representative
The Cash Application Representative will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate application of payments for goods and services offered to clients. This role requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate records and resolve any discrepancies related to customer payments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply receipts daily for all credit card settlements, wires, ACH/EFTS, and manual deposits.
- Collaborate with Collections teams to obtain remits and post payments in full to ensure application and unapplied cash targets are met or exceeded.
- Process adjustments to customer accounts for credits/debits and account bank fee charge-offs.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies related to customer payments, working closely with the Collections teams to ensure issues are resolved promptly.
- Respond to Collection team questions for quick resolution and feedback in a timely manner.
- Responsible for correcting incorrectly applied payments.
- Identify daily unapplied amounts and post to customer accounts.
- Identify any receipts that are not customer related and follow-up on proper GL code for posting.
Reconciliation and Ad Hoc Projects:
- Reconcile daily cash balance.
- Assist with ad hoc projects, as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School diploma and 2-4 years related experience.
- Business or Accounting degree or related certifications preferred.
- Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs.
- Must be able to learn other accounting software systems.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.
