X-Ray Technologist Job Description

Concentra is the nation's largest provider of workplace health services, with over 500 outpatient clinics across the United States. As a X-Ray Technologist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the company's mission to improve the health of America's workforce.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the examination.
  • Operate radiologic equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes, adhering to established radiologic requirements and regulations.
  • Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure the safety of patients and team members.
  • Ensure radiologic equipment remains in working order, reporting any malfunctions to the Center Operations Director.
  • Follow documentation procedures and complete required documentation related to patient x-ray visits.
  • Perform routine medical procedures as ordered by the treating clinician, including triaging emergent patients as needed.
  • Assist providers during examinations and treatments, applying bandages, dressings, and splints as ordered.
  • Dispense medications and DME as ordered by the treating clinician, in accordance with state regulations.
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent.
  • Completion of a state-approved Limited Scope Technician certificate program and license, if applicable.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification.
  • At least six months of medical assistant experience, with knowledge of medical procedures and medical terminology.
  • Working knowledge of occupational medicine requirements, with prior medical office, healthcare, and/or customer service-related experience.
