Account Executive Role Overview

The Account Executive is a key catalyst behind FirstLight's success. As a consultative sales professional, this role drives revenue growth and brings in net-new business from prospects and existing customers.

Responsibilities include:

  • Driving revenue growth and bringing in net-new business from prospects and existing customers
  • Coordinating resources and managing the sales campaign across the entire opportunity pipeline
  • Negotiating and closing sales opportunities
  • Developing a mastery of FirstLight's broad portfolio of products and services
  • Connecting client business objectives with FirstLight offerings and solutions
  • Building and expanding relationships with Economic Buyers in prospect accounts
  • Supporting customer retention and expanding footprint through cross/up sell opportunities
  • Providing regular reporting of pipeline and forecast through the CRM system
  • Collaborating with peers and management to improve the sales organization

Requirements include:

  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in a telecom or ISP environment
  • Proven track record of exceeding new logo sales quotas
  • Experience selling to Mid-Market to Large Enterprise, Healthcare, and Financial services
