Manager, Engineer, Sr. Actuation

Work Schedule:
Onsite - Buffalo, NY

Our Military Aircraft Engineering team is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the design and development of complex hydraulic actuation systems. You will support proposals and cost reviews, allocate staff according to demand, approve project plans at Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and Quantifiable Backup Data (QBD) levels, and participate in milestone project reviews.

To be considered for the Engineering Manager position, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Aerospace)
  • 15+ years of professional work experience in design/development engineering of electromechanical components or systems
  • 5+ years of experience managing people in a supervisory/managerial role
  • Knowledge and application experience using Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
  • This job may require a US security clearance, or the ability to obtain one, therefore US citizenship is required
As an Engineering Manager, you will:
  • Supervise the Actuation Section Heads and Design Lead (approximately a team of 50 direct and indirect reports)
  • Accountable for the end-to-end engineering execution for Actuation development
  • Be personally involved in managing the largest tactical issues
  • Be accountable for process adherence and quality of all work products
  • Manage staff make-up (balancing site-wide capability)
  • Be accountable for proposal preparation, quality, accuracy and delivery
  • Drive collaboration within the group and between engineering functions

Salary Range Transparency:
Buffalo, NY $120,000.00-$170,000.00 Annually

Salary Range Disclaimer

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
