Material Handler

As a Material Handler, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse. Your responsibilities will include:

• Counting, weighing, and measuring incoming and outgoing items to verify accuracy against bills of lading and invoices.
• Examining shipments for damage or shortages and corresponding with the shipper to resolve issues.
• Preparing materials for shipping by weighing, packaging, and stamping.
• Operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move stock and reorganize storage.
• Participating in routing, counting, and inspecting items while loading and unloading trucks.
• Delivering and returning items as needed.
• Participating in ordering or purchasing standard stock items.
• Utilizing computerized systems to accomplish tasks.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area and adhering to general housekeeping standards.

Requirements for this role include:

• A High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Pallet jack experience is required, and forklift certification is a plus.
• Basic computer knowledge is necessary.
• A clean driving record is essential.
• Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills are required.
• A positive demeanor and team player attitude are essential for success in this role.
