Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Baker and Packager Associate to join our team. As a key member of our bakery department, you will be responsible for preparing fresh baked items daily, following recipes and production instructions, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards and sanitation guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare bakery department merchandise based on daily production needs by operating baking equipment, following recipes/make-up instructions, and wrapping, labeling, and storing merchandise according to company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other associates to build a strong bakery team, communicate with members of the team, and be flexible to the needs of the business to work in other areas.
  • Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement, utilizing handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training, and product quality with the member in mind.
  • Ensure commitment to operational excellence, maintaining work area according to company policies and procedures, ensuring quality and date control standards for bakery items, securing fragile and high-shrink merchandise, eliminating waste, and assisting members with purchasing decisions.
  • Be an advocate for the department and the club by valuing the member's experience in the meat area and modeling high-quality service and products, executing the basics at the highest possible level of quality, and exhibiting energy, commitment, and passion for the work.
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time while assisting members quickly and accurately.
  • Problem-solving skills to tackle obstacles head-on to ensure each task is completed with excellence.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
