Job Summary:
As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer at Kaiser Permanente, you will produce high-quality ultrasonic recordings of internal organs to aid physicians in diagnosis and treatment. This role requires a strong understanding of ultrasound technology and the ability to work efficiently and safely in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and obtain cooperation
Prepare and position patients for examination
Select and adjust equipment according to examination specifications
Start equipment and record diagnostic data
Monitor sound wave display screens to ensure high-quality ultrasonic patterns
Maintain accurate records of test results
Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED required
1 year of experience in diagnostic medical sonography or related field
Registration in one or more disciplines from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in cardiac or obstetric sonography
Nuchal Translucency Certification Certificate within 3 months of hire for MFM clinics
