Job Summary

Kobo Products, Inc., a leading manufacturer of cosmetics and personal care raw materials, is seeking a highly skilled Cosmetic Science Professional. This dynamic role combines technical expertise in cosmetic formulations with strategic marketing initiatives to drive product innovation and growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cosmetic chemistry, a passion for beauty products, and the ability to communicate complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences.

About the Role

This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field – an advanced degree is preferred. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in technical marketing, product management, or related roles within the cosmetics or personal care industry is also required. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of cosmetic ingredient functionality, formulations, and industry regulations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex scientific information to non-technical audiences, are essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop technical marketing materials, including product datasheets, brochures, presentations, and online content that effectively communicate product advantages and technical specifications.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of cosmetic formulations, ingredients, and trends.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify consumer trends, competitive landscape, and potential opportunities for innovation.
  • Guide the formulation and enhancement of raw materials and finished products, ensuring they meet market needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Create and deliver training programs for sales teams, distributors, and customers to enhance their understanding of product benefits and applications.
  • Build relationships with suppliers or industry influencers to stay abreast of industry developments and foster collaboration.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of raw materials and adjust marketing strategies, including tradeshows.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in technical marketing, product management, or related roles within the cosmetics or personal care industry.
  • Strong understanding of cosmetic ingredient functionality, formulations, and industry regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Benefits

The salary for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 per year, based on experience. Safety is our top priority, so COVID vaccination is required for all employees. Proof of vaccination is required prior to start of employment. Medical exemptions will be granted based upon documentation from a doctor.
