Produce Quality Control Specialist

The Produce Inspector II plays a critical role in ensuring the quality of fresh produce received from suppliers, stored in the warehouse, and shipped to customers. This position requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to make decisions based on established quality specifications.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform daily inspections of incoming fresh produce deliveries and inventory to ensure quality meets specifications.
- Make decisions to reject or accept produce based on PACA laws and company procedures.
- Collaborate with warehouse management to identify and address food safety concerns.
- Maintain records of inspections and communicate with the replenishment lead and warehouse manager on issues related to fresh produce.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in produce or perishable receiving and inspection.
- Working knowledge of USDA specs, grades, and standards.
- Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant applications.
