Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Government Relations and Alliances Manager to join our team at the American College of Gastroenterology. As a key member of our public policy team, you will play a critical role in advancing our organization's mission and priorities on Capitol Hill.

About Us

The American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) is a professional organization dedicated to promoting digestive health through education, advocacy, and research. Our members are comprised of physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare professionals who strive to provide compassionate, equitable, high-quality, state-of-the-art, and personalized care to patients with gastrointestinal disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and advance relationships with key stakeholders on Capitol Hill to further ACG's mission and public policy goals.
  • Monitor and track progress of federal legislation, identifying opportunities for ACG's membership to engage with their elected representatives.
  • Stay up-to-date on evolving issues and priorities affecting ACG's membership, including physicians, advanced practice providers, and other GI professionals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues from the Policy and Communications teams to ensure successful advocacy campaigns.
  • Work with external consultants to advance ACG's public policy objectives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 2-5 years of experience working on Capitol Hill or in a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of the federal legislative process.
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs, with database management experience a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
  • High-level organizational skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Benefits
  • Full-time position, Monday-Friday, with flexible work hours and occasional evening calls.
  • Hybrid work schedule, with 3 days remote work and 2 days in-office in North Bethesda, MD.
  • Domestic travel required (2-3 times per year) and occasional travel to the Washington, D.C. area.
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance, as well as a retirement plan.
  • An estimated salary range of $70,000 - $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
