Job Title: Electrical Controls Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Controls Design Engineer to join our team at PowerSecure, a Southern Company subsidiary. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical control systems for our manufactured product lines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical control systems for LV, MV, and DC applications
  • Review and verify drawing packages prior to submittal and release
  • Coordinate with other engineering groups, sales, marketing, and operations to ensure timely completion of projects
  • Develop document sets, including BOM, schematics, wire/conduit schedules, and other drawing details
  • Identify and execute processes that reduce the overall cost to manufacture, install, and operate our products
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, electrical preferred
  • 10+ years of related experience
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proficient with 2-D AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent software
  • Knowledgeable with UL, NEC, and NFPA 79 standards
