Columbia Associates is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Health Intake Specialist to join our administrative support team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in connecting individuals with life-changing behavioral health services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initial Assessments and Screenings: Conduct thorough initial screenings and assessments to gather vital information from clients, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Compassionate Support: Provide empathetic support to individuals in crisis, offering appropriate resources and referrals to guide them towards the right level of care.
  • Program Navigation: Utilize your knowledge of behavioral health programs to navigate clients through the system, ensuring seamless transitions and continuity of care.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with a diverse team to ensure effective communication and collaboration, fostering a culture of unity and success.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in psychology or related field preferred).
  • Experience: 1-2 years of call center or customer service experience, ideally in behavioral health or healthcare.
  • Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to show empathy and patience. Familiarity with behavioral health terminology and available community resources. Proficient in using computer systems, including Microsoft Office.
