**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a qualified Extended Day Program Support Staff to join our team at the Alabama Department of Education.

About the Role:

As an Extended Day Program Support Staff, you will be responsible for assisting in the supervision of EDP children, preparing and serving snacks, and maintaining a safe and functional learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with supervision of EDP children.
  2. Assist with preparing and serving snacks to children.
  3. Clean up after snacks, meals, and art activities.
  4. Assist in preparing and conducting arts and crafts activities with children.
  5. Assist with the supervision of recreational time on the playground or in the gymnasium.
  6. Assist in maintaining the children's behavior to achieve a safe and functional learning environment.
  7. Maintain confidentiality of information regarding EDP children.
  8. Adhere to school system rules, administrative procedures, and local board policy.
  9. Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism and ethics, working cooperatively with the Board, the Superintendent, administrators, certificated and non-certificated personnel, parents, and students.
  10. Demonstrate proficiency in written and oral communication.
  11. Attend all meetings as required by the Superintendent.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

Minimum High School Diploma or Work Permit.

Evaluation Method:

Cullman City Schools' Support Personnel Evaluation Plan.

Reports to:

Principal.

Performance Responsibilities:

These responsibilities are to be performed in accordance with school system rules, administrative procedures, and local board policy.
