Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Baker to join our team in a 2nd shift position. As a Baker, you will be responsible for mixing bread dough according to company formulas, maintaining high-quality bread production, and performing sanitation activities in the bakery area.
Key Responsibilities- Review and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain Qualified Individual (QI) status for the position.
- Prepare and mix bread dough according to bakery formulas and production schedules.
- Bake dough according to defined procedures and record batch information.
- Ensure compliance with quality, food safety, 5S, OSHA, and HACCP support programs.
- Participate in safety training and identify hazards using BBS and Safety Monitor programs.
- Contribute to Marzetti Operational Excellence initiatives.
- A high school diploma or GED certificate is required.
- Ability to read and understand written bakery formulas.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Must be adaptable and self-motivated.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and oral form.
This position requires working in a manufacturing environment with regular exposure to non-ambient temperatures, odors, dust, oil, slippery floors, and moving parts/equipment. Ear protection, eye/face protection, hair/beard nets, steel-toed/slip-resistant shoes, and gloves are required per company GMP and safety standards.
