Warehouse Associate

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouseperson I to join our team at Plasser American Corp. As a key member of our warehouse team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret shipping orders and requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
- Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence.
- Fills requisitions or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line.
- Assemble customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or carts, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
- Mark materials with identifying information.
- Open boxes, crates, and other containers.
- Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
- Weigh, count, or measure items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
- Arrange stock parts in specified sequence for assembly by other workers.
- Use computer to observe records.
- Operate fork truck to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations for shipment.
- Prepare boxes, cartons, or skids for shipment consistent with proper packaging techniques.
- Assist in maintaining inventory records.
Requirements:
- High school education or equivalent or up to six months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
- Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
- Ability to add and subtract and to multiply and divide.
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
- Ability to read a tape measure.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must be able to operate material handling equipment.
