Job Title: Ecological Farming Assistant

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Ecological Farming Assistant to support the Ecological Farming program at Feather River College. The successful candidate will work closely with faculty to assist with various aspects of the program, including gardening and farming tasks, educational opportunities, and administrative duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with planting and caring for seedlings, pulling weeds, and maintaining garden and farm tools.
  • Help with educational opportunities, such as workshops and demonstrations.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as data entry and record-keeping.
  • Collaborate with faculty to develop and implement program goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Enrolled in a minimum of 6 units in the corresponding semester.
  • Some knowledge of and interest in learning gardening and farming skills is a plus.
  • Able to carry heavy equipment up to 30 lbs.
