About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diagnostic Imaging Nurse to join our team in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Baylor Scott & White Health.

Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Description:

We are looking for a talented Registered Nurse with a passion for providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced diagnostic imaging environment. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Judgment: Conduct accurate clinical assessments, identify and prioritize patient needs, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and modify plans as necessary.
  • Clinical Inquiry: Systematically evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice, participate in quality/performance improvement initiatives, and contribute to evidence-based practice changes.
  • Caring Practices: Create a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, families, and staff, develop therapeutic relationships, and manage physical and emotional pain.
  • Response to Diversity: Recognize and respect patients' and families' unique differences, including cultural, spiritual, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Advocacy and Moral Agency: Preserve patient confidentiality, autonomy, dignity, and rights, and represent their concerns.
  • Facilitation of Learning: Educate patients and families about health promotion, disease prevention, and management, and facilitate learning for nursing staff and other healthcare team members.
  • Partnership: Collaborate with colleagues and community members to develop and implement integrated plans of care.
  • Systems Thinking: Use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address patient and family needs, and delegate tasks to appropriate staff members.
  • Professionalism: Demonstrate ongoing professional growth through continuing education, networking, and membership in professional organizations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program or 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification.
  • Certification/License/Registration: Basic Life Support (BLS), Registered Nurse (RN), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
