Job Title: Residential Energy Efficiency Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Residential Energy Efficiency Specialist to join our team at Duck River Electric Membership Corporation. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in helping our members reduce their energy consumption and lower their electric bills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide energy efficiency recommendations to members to help them lower their energy bills.
  • Conduct residential energy audits and inspections to identify areas of energy efficiency improvement.
  • Work with members to ensure they are aware of available rebates and incentives through DREMC and the Tennessee Valley Authority.
  • Communicate with members, contractors, and TVA program representatives on available energy efficiency programs.
  • Stay up to date on federal, state, and local regulations that may impact residential program offerings.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree for basic understanding of mechanical or electrical engineering, or related technical degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in one or more of the following: electric utilities, building maintenance, HVAC work, or construction. Tennessee Licensed Electrician preferred.
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License and be eligible and remain insured as a driver by the Cooperative's group liability policy for the automotive fleet.
  • Must obtain the Home Energy Advisor Certification through TVA within 1 year and the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABSEP) certification.
