At SpaceX, we are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in the Composites Lamination department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in composites manufacturing and experience with advanced composites systems.

The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing best practices for composites lamination, including generating content with Fibersim, addressing problems associated with manufacturing defects, and overseeing complex laminate repairs. The engineer will also be responsible for introducing new technologies to improve parts processing and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to efficiently build parts on schedule.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline and 1+ years of hands-on experience driving the design or manufacturing of mechanical components or systems. Preferred skills and experience include hands-on advanced composites manufacturing experience, expertise in NX/Unigraphics, Teamcenter CAD and PDM systems, and experience with rapidly introducing process improvements and lean manufacturing principles.
