Surgical Nurse Specialist

We are seeking an experienced surgical nurse to join our team at Central Maine Medical Center. This is a unique opportunity for a skilled professional to make a meaningful contribution to patient care and work collaboratively with a talented group of healthcare providers.
Job SummaryThis 37-bed unit specializes in medical management of diagnoses such as DM and PNA, trauma, general surgery, bariatrics, plastics, and urology. We have a high churn rate to accommodate our surgical population, making this a challenging yet rewarding position for the right candidate.
Responsibilities- Provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in Cerner
- Float to all inpatient units as required
- Work every other weekend
- 2 years of nursing experience required
- Cerner experience preferred
- BCLS certification required
- Telemetry experience
- Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Bariatric experience preferred
- A competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year
