Job Title: Licensed Vocational Nurse/Practical Nurse
**Job Summary:**
Spectrum Healthcare Resources is seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse/Practical Nurse to join our team at the Folkston Detention Center in Folkston, GA. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will provide direct care to patients and perform various medical tasks under the supervision of a registered nurse or medical provider.
**Responsibilities:**
* Provide direct patient care within the scope of your licensure and perform functions in accordance with current accepted practice, licensure, certification, credentialing, and/or competencies.
* Administer medications as ordered, using various routes such as oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular, intravenous, topical, ophthalmic, and enteral/parenteral.
* Perform prescreening and intake screening of patients, using established tools to gather subjective and objective data, and referring abnormal findings or responses to a registered nurse, medical provider, or behavioral health provider as appropriate.
* Perform various treatments such as wound care, vital sign checks, electrocardiograms, and collect laboratory specimens, as ordered by a medical provider, dental provider, behavioral health provider, or registered nurse.
* Take appropriate action on lab results received.
**Requirements:**
* Graduate from a Vocational/Practical Nurse program approved by a State, the District of Columbia, or a U.S. territory.
* Minimum of one-year experience in a hospital, medical office, or outpatient clinical setting.
* Experience in a detention/correctional or residential healthcare setting preferred.
* Maintains current GA or Compact state LVN license.
* Any changes to license must be reported to employer immediately.
