We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team at East Greenbush Animal Hospital.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional client communication and education on preventative medicine, wellness care, and hospital policies.
- Assist veterinarians in medical, surgical, and dental procedures, and ensure the smooth transition of patients between departments.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, and ensure compliance with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.
- Administer medications, perform laboratory tests, and provide emergency treatments as needed.
- Collaborate with the veterinary team to ensure the highest level of patient care and client satisfaction.
- Licensed as a Veterinary Technician (LVT) or new grad from an accredited tech program.
- Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately, and knowledge of common disease states.
- Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.
- A competitive salary range of $22-$29/hr based on experience and skill set.
