Childcare Developmental Support Specialist

The Keene Family YMCA is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Childcare Assistant Teacher to join their team in the childcare center. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide quality experiences for children and parents, focusing on the YMCA's core values of honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring.

SalaryEstimated hourly wage: $15.85 - $19.07
Compensation details: The hourly wage range is based on industry standards and location factors.

Job DescriptionThis role involves assisting with implementing curriculum within established guidelines, supervising children and activities, making ongoing observations and evaluations of each child, maintaining program site and equipment, and attending family nights and staff meetings.
You will also have the opportunity to build personal and meaningful relationships with YMCA members, participants, volunteers, and guests, while exemplifying the Y's commitment to DEI and the four-character values of caring, honesty, respect & responsibility.
Requirements- High School Diploma or equivalent
- CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and Child Abuse prevention training within 30 days of hire date
- Health form completed within 30 days of hire date; renewed every 3 years
- A desire to work with children in a developmental setting
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ year experience working with children
- Ability to perform duties with professionalism, enthusiasm, kindness, empathy, care, honesty, and respect
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community
- A certificate in DEI or extensive training and work experience
