X Ray Technologist Limited Scope Job Description

Overview:
Concentra is seeking a skilled X Ray Technologist Limited Scope to join our patient care team. As a vital member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to our patients. Our mission is to improve the health of America's workforce, one patient at a time.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, escorting them to dressing and x-ray rooms, and providing verbal and/or written instructions.
  • Operate radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes, positioning equipment and adjusting controls according to examination specifications.
  • Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure patient and team member safety.
  • Ensure radiologic equipment remains in working order, reporting malfunctions to the Center Operations Director.
  • Follow radiology workflows and complete required documentation related to patient x-ray visits.
  • Maintain x-ray equipment, including calibration, QA/QC procedures, and record keeping.

Medical Support Specialist Duties:
  • Perform Department of Transportation (DOT) and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
  • Prepare patients for physical examinations, taking vital signs and any required or requested ancillary testing.
  • Perform rapid screening tests, assist providers during examinations, and triage emergent patients as needed.
  • Prepare and assist clinicians with procedure setup and injury care, apply bandages, dressings, and splints as ordered.
  • Dispense medications and DME as ordered by the treating clinician, in accordance with state regulations.
  • Complete quality assurance activities on equipment and medical devices, maintain supplies, clean rooms and equipment, and stock exam rooms.

Requirements:
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent.
  • Completion of state-approved Limited Scope Technician certificate program and license, if applicable.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification.
  • At least six months of medical assistant experience with knowledge of medical procedures and medical terminology.
  • Working knowledge of occupational medicine requirements, preferred.
