Lifespan Corporation is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Specialist to join our team. As a Patient Care Specialist, you will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide exceptional patient care and support in various healthcare settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to prioritize patient needs and develop effective care plans.
  • Provide personal care and assistance to patients, including bathing, dressing, and mobility support.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, adhering to infection control protocols and reporting any hazards or equipment malfunctions.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Accurately document patient information and progress in electronic health records.

Requirements:
  • CURRENT Rhode Island license as a Nursing Assistant.
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to perform basic computer skills and maintain accurate records.
  • Certified in American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

Work Environment:

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in fast-paced healthcare environments, such as hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities. Prolonged sitting, standing, and walking are required, along with occasional lifting and turning of patients and equipment.
