Construction Manager for Commercial Projects

The role of Assistant Project Manager involves overseeing the construction process from start to finish. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned construction professional to take on a leadership position and contribute to the success of a reputable general contractor in Connecticut.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic guidance to the project team to ensure smooth execution and timely completion
- Develop and motivate staff to maximize job performance and career growth
- Maintain positive relationships with architects, subcontractors, and vendors through effective communication and conflict resolution
- Analyze and administer contracts and subcontracts to ensure compliance and mitigate risks
- Establish and implement project schedules to meet client expectations and deadlines
- Manage budgets and financial reports to ensure adherence to project finances
- Leverage quality assurance and control measures to maintain high standards of workmanship
- Lead risk evaluation, contract negotiations, and pricing decisions to optimize project outcomes
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial construction project management
- Degree in Construction Management or related field preferred; OSHA certification also beneficial
- Proficiency in project management software and effective written and verbal communication skills
