The role of Assistant Project Manager involves overseeing the construction process from start to finish. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned construction professional to take on a leadership position and contribute to the success of a reputable general contractor in Connecticut.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic guidance to the project team to ensure smooth execution and timely completion
  • Develop and motivate staff to maximize job performance and career growth
  • Maintain positive relationships with architects, subcontractors, and vendors through effective communication and conflict resolution
  • Analyze and administer contracts and subcontracts to ensure compliance and mitigate risks
  • Establish and implement project schedules to meet client expectations and deadlines
  • Manage budgets and financial reports to ensure adherence to project finances
  • Leverage quality assurance and control measures to maintain high standards of workmanship
  • Lead risk evaluation, contract negotiations, and pricing decisions to optimize project outcomes

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial construction project management
  • Degree in Construction Management or related field preferred; OSHA certification also beneficial
  • Proficiency in project management software and effective written and verbal communication skills
