Senior Payroll Operations Manager North America

We're looking for an experienced Senior Payroll Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our payroll operations department, you will be responsible for managing the processing of multiple payroll reconciliations and audits, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year
About the Role:
This is a hybrid position that requires working on-site 3 days a week at our Glendale, WI office. As a Senior Payroll Operations Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day tactical post-payroll activities and supervise a team of three payroll ops specialists. Your responsibilities will include:
- Accomplishing post-payroll objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching and counseling employees
- Ensuring tasks are completed by team members timely and accurately, validating checklists, controls, and audits
- Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, participating in professional societies
- Achieving organization/NA payroll goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishment
- Overall management of off-cycle and on-cycle payroll runs
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting (or equivalent experience)
- 5 years relevant experience in payroll operations, including experience managing a payroll team
- Proven ability to work independently with good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, regulations, codes, and/or statutes related to payroll (U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico)
- Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
- Ability to analyze, solve problems, and improve processes
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Ability to prioritize work and multi-task successfully
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel
- High attention to detail
