We're looking for an experienced Senior Payroll Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our payroll operations department, you will be responsible for managing the processing of multiple payroll reconciliations and audits, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year

About the Role:

This is a hybrid position that requires working on-site 3 days a week at our Glendale, WI office. As a Senior Payroll Operations Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day tactical post-payroll activities and supervise a team of three payroll ops specialists. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Accomplishing post-payroll objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching and counseling employees
  • Ensuring tasks are completed by team members timely and accurately, validating checklists, controls, and audits
  • Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, participating in professional societies
  • Achieving organization/NA payroll goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishment
  • Overall management of off-cycle and on-cycle payroll runs

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting (or equivalent experience)
  • 5 years relevant experience in payroll operations, including experience managing a payroll team
  • Proven ability to work independently with good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, regulations, codes, and/or statutes related to payroll (U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico)
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Ability to analyze, solve problems, and improve processes
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to prioritize work and multi-task successfully
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel
  • High attention to detail
