Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced EHS Sustainability Manager to join our team in Medina, NY. As a key member of our environmental health and safety team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and promoting sustainability practices within the organization.

About the Role:

This is a long-term contract opportunity (04+ months) with potential for extension or conversion to a full-time position. The successful candidate will have experience with EHSS Management Systems, including ISO 14001 and 45001, and will be responsible for executing these systems as necessary. You will also assist with the administration and implementation of EHS policies and programs, complete program reviews, and perform tasks related to environmental and sustainability programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute EHSS Management Systems, including ISO 14001 and 45001
  • Assist with EHS policy and program administration
  • Complete program reviews and updates to standard operating procedures
  • Perform tasks related to environmental and sustainability programs, including air, hazardous and non-hazardous waste management, risk management, recycling, emergency response, and stormwater control
  • Report relevant data into the Information Management System Benchmark
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Experience with EHSS Management Systems, including ISO 14001 and 45001
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 2-5 years of related experience, including leadership experience through direct supervision or indirect leadership roles
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and New York specific requirements
  • Ability to analyze and interpret scientific and statistical data, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and respond to detailed inquiries and present information to groups and senior leaders
