Neurosurgery Specialist

Job Title: Physician Assistant; Neurosurgery

At the University Medical Center of El Paso, we are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our neurosurgery team. As a collaborative healthcare professional, you will work closely with neurosurgeons and other healthcare providers to provide high-quality patient care services.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist neurosurgeons in scheduling, supervising, and conducting complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
2. Perform surgical procedures within your scope of practice and in accordance with your practice agreement.
3. Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and implement patient care plans.

Requirements:

1. Minimum of one year of experience in a neurosurgery outpatient clinic.
2. Three years of experience in a hospital environment as a physician assistant.
3. National Commissioned Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) required.
4. Licensed and approved as a physician assistant in the State of Texas.
5. Must have DEA Number, DPS Number, and eligible to obtain an NPI Number.
6. Current CPR certification required.
7. ACLS or ATLS required within six months of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Training Program.
2. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
3. Ability to perform complex patient diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
