We are seeking a licensed Optometrist or Ophthalmologist for a part-time role conducting comprehensive eye exams for U.S. Veterans.

This position focuses solely on assessments without treatment responsibilities, allowing you to support those who served while enjoying a flexible work schedule.

About the Role

This is a non-treating, non-determination role focused solely on assessments as part of the VA's SHA process.

  • Review Veterans' medical records through a secure web portal.
  • Perform thorough eye exams, including Visual Field Testing (VFT).
  • Complete and submit evaluation forms via the web portal within 24 hours of the exam.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A licensed Optometrist or Ophthalmologist degree.

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of submitting forms within required timelines.
Compensation

The estimated salary for this role is $120,000-$180,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
