Truck Driver II Position in San Diego

Sought after are experienced truck drivers for the City of San Diego. As a Heavy Truck Driver II, you will be responsible for operating heavy trucks and trailers, ensuring daily maintenance checks are completed, assisting with loading and unloading tasks, performing construction and maintenance work, and more.
About the Role
This is a key position within our organization that requires excellent driving skills and attention to detail. You will be working independently and as part of a team to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy trucks and trailers safely and efficiently
- Complete daily inspections of vehicles and equipment
- Assist with loading and unloading goods and materials
- Perform construction and maintenance work as needed
Requirements
- Valid California Class A Driver License
- Valid California DMV medical certificate dated within the last two years
- Six months of full-time experience operating vehicles requiring a California Class A or B Driver License
- Ability to work varied shifts, including nights and weekends
