Job Summary

The Sales Manager will be responsible for increasing revenue and profitability in the Construction Division - Scanclimber products through effective sales strategies, management of rental dealers, construction customers, and end users. This role is responsible for all aspects of business development, sales, order growth, revenue growth, and account management in Alimak Construction.

Main Responsibilities

Collaborate with National Sales Manager to develop and implement the sales strategy of the division, ensuring alignment with Division strategy and Overall Group strategy.

Develop sales strategy and guidelines that include rules for quantifying customers to ensure the most profitable customers receive the most attention.

Conduct key account and project reviews to ensure an ALIMAK WIN.

Ensure all new business complies with Division sales strategies and margins.

Responsible for creation of supporting initiatives in the areas of revenue, costs, and people to enable achievement.

Accountable for account management of existing customer base, ensuring repeat business and ongoing sales.

Accountable for compliance with and updating of the group reporting tools, Key Account Document.

Operations

Maintain and improve process efficiency for quality and environmental standards adherence.

Update Product Management and Division Operations on changing trends and requirements in the marketplace to ensure new product design is at the forefront of the industry.

Responsible for delivering customer feedback to National Sales Manager for continuous improvement discussions.

Financial Management

Accountable for collecting cash within plan and group guidelines.

Accountable for contract establishment, all contracts written within company guidelines or escalated for approval, outlining risks and mitigation strategies.

Report monthly on lag KPI's (what happened) and lead KPI's (what will happen).

Provide accurate and timely Order Intake forecasts.

Accountable to work within Delegation of Authorities.

Compliant with policies, systems, and procedures, e.g., Expense and Travel, Vehicle, Phone, Laptop policies, etc.

Other Responsibilities

Participate as a positive and active team player with peers.

Responsible for self-development and continuing personal development.

Support and guide local Rental Customers when and where required and applicable to Key Accounts in that region, with a view to securing orders and maintaining good governance.

Accountable for the coordination of the Division Distributors through Local Sales Company and Sales Resources to ensure group policies are met.

Accountable for increasing revenue and profitability into the Construction Access market in the region via the Distributors and Major Accounts Identified.

Will hold responsibility as a sales manager of the suspended access product line.

Authority to make decisions under guidance of National Sales Manager and the delegation of Authority for (Construction Division).

Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

Relevant Sales, Engineering, or Marketing bachelor's degree preferred.

Minimum 5 years' experience in Sales, Construction, and/or Scaffolding.

Evidence of sales track record in a suspended product line.

Demonstrable consultative sales experience.

Evidence of selling in the Construction industry.

Experience in selling customized capital goods.

Experience with international organization, multiple regions, and multiple product lines.

Experience of contract negotiation, risk identification, risk mitigation, and risk management.

Must be available to travel within region.

Highly articulate, customer-focused, team player, can-do attitude.

Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.

Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiating skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Financial literacy, capable of understanding interaction of financial decisions, Profit and Loss.

Excellent time management and prioritization skills.

Leadership skills with ability to influence and inspire both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Knowledge of best practice Consultative sales techniques.

Physical Requirements

Must be available to travel within region.

Must be able to work in an office environment.

Must be able to visit customers on-site (various environments).

Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.

Must be able to stand and present at meetings.

Office located either in Shelton, CT or Houston, TX.
