The Director of Environmental Services and Distribution Transport oversees cleaning and sanitization processes within a health system, ensuring compliance with established guidelines. This role involves monitoring financial and productivity metrics while fostering staff development and collaboration across departments to enhance operational and patient care outcomes.

Overview:

Norman Regional Health System's Environmental Services department is responsible for providing appropriate cleaning processes to ensure the health system is sanitized and disinfected as per governing guidelines.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitors and evaluates financial and productivity information to achieve operational benchmarks.
  • Fosters the learning and development of staff to fulfill current and future requirements.
  • Collaborates with other departments to identify and resolve operational and patient care issues.
  • Supports and promotes the shared mission and vision of Norman Regional Hospital to achieve strategic goals.
  • Develops and promotes employee satisfaction to facilitate positive patient and physician outcomes.

Requirements:

Strong communication skills, both written and oral. Outstanding communication and coaching skills. Ability to manage sites and changing work environments. Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office programs, email, and the internet. Experience managing a diverse team of employees, managers, and supervisors.

Education:

Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience:

Requires four years supervisory/administrative experience in institutional and/or commercial Environmental Services management.

The estimated salary for this position is $75,000 - $90,000 per year, based on industry standards and location. This figure may vary depending on individual qualifications and experience.
