Speech and Language Pathologist PositionJob Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Pathologist to join our team at Los Lunas Public Schools. As a vital member of our special services department, you will play a critical role in helping students overcome language and speech barriers that hinder their academic success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and diagnose students with speech and language impairments, developing personalized plans to address their needs.
  • Provide one-on-one and group therapy sessions to promote effective communication skills.
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to integrate speech and language therapies into daily lesson plans.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date on best practices and methodologies in speech and language pathology, applying this knowledge to enhance student outcomes.
Requirements:
  • A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • New Mexico Public Education Licensure as a Speech and Language Pathologist.
Evaluation and Compensation:

Your performance will be evaluated annually, with compensation determined by your individual training and experience level, as outlined on the Certified Support Staff Salary Schedule. The work year consists of 191 days, with an eight-hour workday.
