Mechanical Engineering Technology Instructor

We are seeking a skilled instructor to join our team as a Senior Faculty Member in Mechatronics and Mechanical Engineering. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, mentoring students, and contributing to the college's mission.
Job SummaryThis is a full-time position that requires teaching a minimum of 15 credit hours per semester. You will be expected to contribute to curriculum design, development, and assessment, as well as participate in college governance and service.
Key Responsibilities- Teach mechanical engineering technology courses, including lectures, laboratories, and online classes.
- Develop and assess curriculum to ensure it aligns with industry standards and student learning outcomes.
- Mentor students, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their academic goals.
- Participate in college governance and service, contributing to committees and initiatives that promote student success and community engagement.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer, Electrical, Manufacturing, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering Technology, or a closely related field.
- At least 2 years of full-time relevant industry and/or teaching experience.
- Certification or willingness to earn instructor certifications in NC3 FI4.0CP and/or Siemens Mechatronic Systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and administrators.
- Teaching experience in online, hybrid, or traditional face-to-face classroom modalities in a higher education setting.
- Demonstrated proficiency in using instructional technologies and learning management systems.
- Ability to measure, assess, and align student outcomes within courses or programs.

What We OfferWe offer a competitive salary range of $57,750 - $75,000, depending on qualifications and experience. In addition to a generous compensation package, we provide opportunities for professional growth and development, as well as a collaborative and supportive work environment.
LocationThe successful candidate will be based at one of our two campuses, located in Hampton or Williamsburg, Virginia. The role may also require occasional travel to other campus locations.
