Job Summary

This position is responsible for assisting providers when performing in-clinic Urology procedures, maintaining patient safety, providing patient education, and adhering to standards of care for clinical procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Assist providers in performing in-clinic Urology procedures and maintain patient safety.
  • Provide patient education on Urology procedures and adhere to OSHA and Infection Control policies.
  • Maintain accurate and complete medical records for documentation of delivery of patient care and procedure in the EHR.
  • Oversee supplies and equipment for appropriate stock levels of supplies and equipment, storage, and expiration dates.
  • Educate staff on proper technique, monitoring, and quality requirements to perform appropriate levels of cleaning and disinfecting of equipment including maintaining OSHA guidelines and appropriate use of PPE (personal protective equipment).
  • Escalate situations beyond capability and patient emergencies to the manager and immediately implement emergency measures such as calling 911.
Requirements
  • An Associate's degree or higher in Nursing, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • A current and valid D.C. license as a Registered Nurse or evidence of application for licensure in D.C.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience.
