Advanced MRI Imaging Specialist

The Christus Health team is seeking a highly skilled Advanced MRI Imaging Specialist to join their ranks. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute their expertise in the field of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and make a meaningful impact on patient care.
Job Summary:The Advanced MRI Imaging Specialist will be responsible for performing complex diagnostic procedures utilizing state-of-the-art computerized MRI diagnostic imaging equipment. They will work closely with radiologists to assist in invasive and biopsy-type procedures, utilizing MRI equipment to pinpoint anatomical locations.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to adapt to changing situations with ease. A strong background in MRI exams, procedures, and pressurized injection equipment is essential, as well as the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and maintain a high level of patient care and continuity.
This role requires a high degree of technical proficiency, including competence in MRI safety protocols and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues. The Advanced MRI Imaging Specialist must also demonstrate a commitment to ongoing education and staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in MRI technology.
Responsibilities:- Perform a variety of diagnostic procedures, including those of a more complex nature, utilizing state-of-the-art computerized MRI diagnostic imaging equipment.
- Work closely with radiologists to assist in invasive and biopsy-type procedures, utilizing MRI equipment to pinpoint anatomical locations.
- Demonstrate competence in MRI exams, procedures, and the use of pressurized injection equipment.
- Prioritize tasks effectively to maintain a high level of patient care and continuity.
- Ensure all charges are correctly coded and entered in the billing system.
- Maintain competence with respect to MRI safety protocols and troubleshoot equipment issues as needed.
- Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiological Sciences or other accepted equivalent required.
- 1 year of experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
- 3 years of experience in a clinical imaging setting highly preferred.
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) certification from ARRT or ARMRIT preferred.
- Current state licensure required.
- Current BLS required.
$85,000 - $115,000 per annum, depending on experience.
