Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to contribute to the success of our patients.
As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to help patients develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily living and working.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of treatment plans for patients
- Provide hands-on therapy to patients to improve their motor skills, balance, coordination, and range of motion
- Teach patients how to use adaptive equipment and assistive technology to improve their independence
- Document patient progress and communicate with the Occupational Therapist regarding treatment plans and patient goals
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient outcomes
Requirements:
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license
- Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
- Experience working with patients in a healthcare setting
