Aboveground Storage Tank Operations Technician

Select Water Solutions is seeking a skilled Aboveground Storage Tank Operations Technician to join our team.
This role involves the installation and maintenance of aboveground storage tanks, piping, and other equipment at well sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing general upkeep and mechanical repairs on equipment, as well as constructing, threading pipes, and performing mechanical hookups with pumps and valves.
As an entry-level position, this role requires at least one year of experience and/or equivalent training, preferably in the energy industry.
The essential job functions include:
- Loading, unloading, and identifying materials, machinery, and tools, and distributing them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and specifications.
- Storing and stacking material.
- Providing assistance to craft workers.
- Reading and interpreting plans, instructions, and specifications to determine work activities.
- Signaling equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials.
- Tending to pumps, compressors, and generators to provide power for tools, machinery, and equipment, or to heat and move materials.
- Lubricating machinery, equipment, or parts.
- Positioning, aligning, or leveling machines, equipment, or structures.
- Cleaning and preparing construction sites to eliminate possible hazards.
- Cleaning tools, equipment, machinery & work areas.
- Performing 'stick-picking', shoveling, compacting and back filling excavations.
- Erecting and disassembling scaffolding, shoring, braces, ramps, and other temporary structures.
- Operating hand and power tools.
- Operating power construction equipment, hoist or winch.
The ideal candidate will have:
- The ability to understand and follow instructions from truck drivers or other company personnel.
- The willingness and ability to work in all types of weather and conditions.
- The physical capability to carry out duties safely and with no difficulty.
- The ability to work variable schedules/shifts and long hours.
- The ability to work at heights.
- A high school diploma, GED or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of oilfield well servicing.
- Knowledge of or experience in mechanical maintenance and repair of diesel trucks.
Salary: $45,000 - $65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
