  • Teaching is a key aspect of this role, and you will be responsible for delivering instruction to students at the College. You will be expected to meet all classes at the designated time, place, and length, and to provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Student evaluation is also a critical component of this role. You will be responsible for periodically examining and informing each student of their progress toward achieving the course objectives, and for preparing and administering examinations that measure the students' attainment of the course objectives.
  • Minimum qualifications for this role include a Nevada licensed Optician with a minimum of 4 years' experience, and the ability to achieve ABO advanced certification within 2 years. Preferred qualifications include a degree in education from an accredited College/ University, ABO advanced or NCLE Advanced licensure, and bilingual skills.

The salary for this role is $925.00 per instructional unit, with labs paid at $46.25 hourly. This is an exempt position, and you will be required to work a full-time equivalent of 40.0%.
