Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Ambulatory Care Professional to join our team at 61 Street Service Corporation. This individual will play a key role in delivering exceptional patient-centered care in an ambulatory setting, working closely with providers across multiple specialties.

Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent patient care by greeting patients, taking vital signs, and performing rooming functions.
  • Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and therapies as requested.
  • Perform phlebotomy duties, point-of-care tests, and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
  • Manage patient flow by assessing and anticipating physician schedules.
  • Notify physicians and nurses of emergencies and perform first aid when necessary.

Front Desk Support Duties:

  • Collaborate with Front Desk staff to expedite quality patient care and promote patient flow.
  • Manage and track patient flow from arrival until exam room departure using the EMR system.
  • Serve as a liaison between physicians and other individuals, including patients.
  • Prepare and maintain medical charts, copy and mail medical records, and perform additional check-out functions.
  • Answer telephone calls and take accurate phone messages.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A high school graduate or equivalency with a degree from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
  • Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through a credentialing body is mandatory.
  • BCLS/AED certification is also required.
  • The ideal candidate must possess strong communication skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to deescalate stressful situations.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Health Systems, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word is necessary.

Salary Information:

We offer a competitive salary based on experience, ranging from $55,000 to $65,000 per annum, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth.
