Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Compliance Associate to join our team at Hughes Resources. As a Compliance Associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring our customer's financial institution meets all regulatory requirements and maintains a strong compliance program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to all areas of the department as needed, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Perform daily review of various reports, logs, and transaction data to identify trends or unusual activity, maintaining a proactive approach to risk management.
  • Daily and monthly balancing of various internal accounts, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Assist with internal monitoring and tracking of various compliance areas, staying up-to-date on regulatory changes and updates.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable reporting and recordkeeping requirements, maintaining a strong focus on regulatory adherence.
  • Help with employee training, providing guidance and support to ensure a high level of compliance awareness throughout the organization.
  • Assist in special projects and tasks for the department as directed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Perform operational and accounting functions as needed, leveraging your technical skills to drive business results.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Basic computer skills with Microsoft Word and Excel Programs, with a strong proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Good organizational and time management skills, with a proven track record of meeting deadlines and delivering results.
  • Banking and/or Accounting experience is preferred, with a strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Must be able to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, with a strong commitment to upholding the values and standards of Hughes Resources.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, with a strong foundation in business principles and practices.
