About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Microbiologist to join our team in Crete, IL. As a Laboratory Microbiologist, you will be responsible for performing various microbiological tests and analyzing data to ensure the quality and safety of food products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze samples using standard methods and protocols to identify microorganisms and determine their concentration.
  • Prepare media according to specifications and maintain laboratory records accurately.
  • Perform routine testing procedures, including microbial identification and enumeration.
  • Maintain knowledge of laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and other relevant software.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in microbiology or a related field, with 1-2 years of experience in a laboratory setting.
  • Basic chemistry knowledge to prepare media and analyze data.
  • Good communication skills to work effectively with colleagues and contribute to a collaborative environment.
