We are seeking an experienced administrative assistant to provide critical support to the Theatre Arts Department at Nebraska Wesleyan University. This role will be responsible for coordinating all administrative tasks, acting as a liaison with other departments, and providing exceptional customer service.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of one to two years of experience in an administrative role, with excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. They will be highly proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel, and have experience working in a MAC computer environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing administrative support to the department chair, faculty, staff, and students
  • Coordinating events, travel arrangements, and performances
  • Managing departmental finances, including budgeting, expense reports, and accounts payable
  • Acquiring performance rights, scripts, and licenses for NWU productions
  • Maintaining accurate records, reporting, and data entry

The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. They will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with students, faculty, staff, and external stakeholders.

Compensation: The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans.
