Job Summary:

We are seeking a Recreation Aide to join our team at Tarrytown Rehabilitation & Nursing Center. As a Recreation Aide, you will be responsible for implementing recreation procedures, creating decorations, setting up equipment, and providing games and activities for residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement recreation procedures as directed by the Recreation Director.
  • Create decorations, set up necessary equipment, and provide games and activities for residents.
  • Escort residents to and from the Recreation area and award prizes.
  • Assist in scheduling movies, planning parties, and providing games and activities for residents.
  • Encourage residents to participate in recreational social activities.
  • Visit with residents, write letters, run errands, and make appointments as necessary.
  • Participate and guide individual and group re-motivation and reality orientation sessions.
  • Complete required documentation as directed in the resident's medical record.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • General work experience preferred but not required; will train.
